St George's Cullercoats stands on the sea front overlooking the beach. The tall spire of the Pearson church is one of the most prominent landmarks on this stretch of coast and has been used as a reference point by mariners for over 100 years.
From the North
Coming towards Newcastle on the A1, turn off at 'A19 South', and continue to the A1058 junction; turn left and follow map towards the sea front.
From the South
At Washington Services, take the right fork to 'Tyne Tunnel - A19'; coming out of the tunnel, keep on the A19 until the A1058 junction; turn right and follow map towards the sea front.
